    Get points after disconnecting??

When you're playing and you get disconnected from the server during a game for an UNFORSEEN reason (bad connection, problem with connection, kicked, banned, etc.)

    1) Do you get any points accumulated prior to getting booted off?

When you're playing and YOU PURPOSELY/INTENTIONALLY disconnect from the server to take care of crying baby, take a dump/piss, answer phone, or you just dont want to play anymore...

    2) Do you get any points accumulated prior to disconnecting from server?

    Thanks.

The thinking atm is that you need to be connected for more than 5 minutes for them to count.

The most important thing to remember about stats is that snapshots are sent for processing at the end of a game round only. If for any reason a round is interrupted (such as by a scheduled reboot as happens at 3 PM and 3 AM local time on all EA servers), stats from that round will not accrue. In all other cases, it can take a short period of time after the round is complete for these snapshots to be processed. BFHQ may not be updated with your new progress for upwards of fifteen minutes during the daily peaks (though 99% of the time stats processing is nearly immediate nowadays).

I can say from experience that if you get disconnected but manage to reconnect before the round ends, you retrain the scores you had prior to being disconnected. This happened to me once, and I was quite surprised by it.

Now if I hadn't managed to reconnect, would the server still have reported my pre-disconnect stats to EA's stat server at the end of the round? <shrug>

To clarify: I've had them both happen to me. I've reconnected and my score has still been "active". But I have disconnected and I have had my score not show up in BFHQ.

The final score is what is sent to "Stats processing" so I am "assuming" that if you are not there at the end of the round, your points will not get tallied. And I have seen this in action too: I've had some god awefull rounds in which I have died like 10 times before I can even get a shot off, so I disconnect and it has not shown up in my stats.

Best way to check is make a new account, play a bit, then disconnect and see if your stats show up. I bet they don't

If disconnect on purpose, you will still get those points.

ok if you leave the server/get kicked/have a power out/have a heart attack/fall asleep you will still get your points. i tested it on an account that had no points due to it.

joined a server, killed somebody, left the server. was probably on the server for about 3mins tops. still got my points.

Yes you do get the points and/or any awards. I would wait a good 5-10 minutes before disconnecting after getting an award.

                      Another question is:

Do you get points taken away if you leave with a negeative?

OKies, I was wrong. I made an account: uncle_bob10, dove on a grenade and got killed twice. Disconencted after 5 minutes of playtime. Waited 15 minutes (approx time for match to end), and it did show up in BFHQ.

                          So, I apoligize.

Exactly what I thought. I think after the end of the round, the scores are uploaded.
