Emplaced machine gun issue

I have Object spawned an emplaced machine gun. I have placed it on a sandbag wall. Here is the issue: I have sunken my sandbag wall so it is really only about half height. Once you enter the weapon, you cannot come out of the weapon. I think it is because the "character box" is below the emplaced weapon. I do get a sound when trying to exit, but nothing more than that.

Does anyone have a solution for this or has experienced this?

You need to raise it a bit - have the gun legs bareley above the platform you are setting it on
