What I think is most important is that you tell the gunner to press "C" or whichever keybind he has to switch his camera modes. That way it makes it easier to pilot rather than having to dive down so the gunner can see because he has the cockpit blocking his vision.

What's exactly the field of view of the gunner through the pilot's eyes? I'd be interested on someone taking a screen shot of both views and putting one on to of the other. I'm never sure if the gunner view is slightly under my horizon or just at it.

Some decent info in there - but I strongly disagree with his tactics with the gunner. I think the gunner is your strongest asset as a pilot. Providing you give him a steady platform - you can rack up kills.

I do just the opposite - my rockets are backup for his gunning - works like a champ.

He is talking about when you go full screen. Back in 1942 - default was F9 for that function (which I kept the same out of habit). Takes away the walls of the cockpit so you just see your reticles and see below the cockpit without obstruction.

Right mouse brings up the TV missle.

I will get those screen shots at some point and get them posted up.

Well balance everything out. Make sure the weight is good all over. Make sure that ur going where you want and make sure your weight is balanced. Its like riding a croch rocket in the sky lean left to turn left and lean right to turn right. It cant be explained very well. It is well, let Georgy tell ya:

I agree with letting the BH cap flage and let the Slicks kill armor, as that works better.

1 - Know your gunner's FOV (field of view). Do not line them up for a shot they can't take because they cannot aim that low or high. Most importantly - know on your pilot view - what the gunner tv view is. A good gunner can hit anything with the missle - including other aircraft.

2 - provide a steady platform for your gunner. try not to make jerky turns - keep it smooth and your scores will prove its worthyness. The only time you need to get crazy in flying is to avoid getting shot down. If you can sneak in undetected and circle or move around - all while keeping the same target view - you can be very lethal. Get a pilot that can circle strafe - and its game over for ground targets.
That is what I like to do when I fly the BH I orbit around a target and let the gunner rack up the kills, and in the slick I try to let the gunner get a good shot when ever possable. Keeping the Helicopter stable is inportant as a gunner nothing is more frustrating that the pilot who is all over the place and you can't hit a damm thing and you're better off bailing out.
