Best Crosshair color

I have found that with plain yellow my crosshairs disapear in the sky. Have yall found any other colors that seem to work a lot better? Also is there a way to change the color of the aiming tools in the air vehicles? green doesnt cut it for me. When you get in a chopper battle you always go up real high and i cant see anything agains the sky.

I use bright Cyan.

Red and Magenta tend to be the best for me.

Red blends too much with the tans and browns on most of the MEC maps.

Full blue works REALLY well for me, better then all the others. It doesnt blend in with anything at all.

Try a salmon or fuchsia color (pink)...I have found that it will stand out against anything....

If i remember when I get home I will check out the mixing settings and post them for the color I'm talking about...

Pink is better, but it still has too much red which will get lost in the brown.

We should be able to scientifically determine the best color based on the most common hues on maps, on vehicles, etc. by choosing the one with the fewest number of those same hues.

Of course, if you're colorblind, you're probbaly on your own.

Full blue works REALLY well for me, better then all the others. It doesnt blend in with anything at all.

well sky yes, but the water's usally dirty so it doesnt effect it much

I use bright green myself. Always like the bright green...decided to stick with it.

In your Profiles directory you can change the General.con file line:

GeneralSettings.setCrosshairColor <red> <green> <blue> <alpha>
GeneralSettings.setCrosshairColor 255 255 0 204 <--yellow @ 20% alpha


I think the best color for the brown you would see in Karkand would be:

GeneralSettings.setCrosshairColor 102 129 176 255 <--a greyish blue at @ 0% alpha

Mine has stayed as the the deafult yellow since I got 1942, I've only played around with the transpareny a bit. for me I only really rely on a crosshair for long distance shots and in which case no matter which color it is you'll see it
