More Artillery Weapons = Larger Area?

Does more artillery weapons equal a larger area?

Let me explain, on Oman, there are 2 artillery weapons and it hits a certain area. On Kubra Dam, if I recall correctly, there are 3+. Does that mean that the area covered by an artillery strike on Kubra Dam is larger than Oman? Or could it be that it goes on for longer? Or more powerful? When you take one of the artillery weapons out and the other 2 fire - does that reduce the overall area? Or, more artillery weapons only mean that it is more 'resistant', difficult to destroy?

    Has anyone experienced with this?

I think the affected area stays the same size with depletion of artillery, but that the number of shells per strike is reduced.

not neceseily. just more artilery in one spot. cause if they all aim at the same spot then yes if they aim at diffrent directions then ul get a farther area.

That's correct. The more artillery pieces the more shells per bombardment.

They aim in a certain spot as stated by Sniper_13. More arty would just mean more wasted shells at the area aimed at.

I'd like to see the arty improved, select were the piece fires 1 by 1. would take more time for cammoder tho.. And make it more realistic.. looking at those bigg ass guns id say they are around 120 millimeter pieces.. If used correctly and with the right stats for them, 5 pieces could blow up a whole card grid with 2 or 3 shots each. But that wouldnt be to much fun because the playing field of BF at 64 player size is less then 1 grid....

I've also noticed that with the larger map sizes (64 and 32) the deviation away from your strike marker is far less, meaning more precise strikes around your intended area. The 16 player map arty strikes are very random indeed and deviate wildly away from target at times. It's a fair and equitable system when you think of it.

It wouldn't really be much of a game at all if you could destroy the enemy with precision on the smaller maps, whilst on the larger maps like the 64 player maps, it's a much more effective tool due to the larger player numbers.
