Can someone compile a MAP PACK?

Rather than having separate releases for each and every map have a Map Pack that will periodically update all the more popular maps.

Perhaps TotalBF2 can make a Map Pack of the maps that they are providing us to download?

most of the maps including my map in that pack is not complete. they need a lot of tweaking. we have been testing the maps, the results are good but we are not ready to release the map pack 1 yet.

Nothing is ever perfect m8, but people want to check out those Maps that are available by now and not want to download them all in single Files. Lots of them are in Beta phase, but that doesn´t matter. In other games a lot of people played through all this Maps, from Beta through final, thats just the way it is. No reason to not do a Map Pack when the Maps are not Final.

So, if there are newer and better versions, they will be in the next Pack. In the beginning of the Custom Maps time its always that way, in any game.

I know these problems for quite some time now.

We just like to make sure the map pack that we release along with the maps in them are current, so they don't become obsolete when someone releases the same one with fixes.

No Problem.

In your Map Pack thats totally up to you and its sure not wrong, but til then I´d like to give those who want the so far existing Map Versions a way to download them in one stroke instead of in single downloads, thats all.

Well cool i didnt know that TotalBf2 was building any maps and such and building a map pack, iam all for mods and all but iam more interested in more maps than anything else.

How will it work as to the new maps and such?

The idea is that you'll download a bunch of maps and when the server changes to the map, like when it changes to "Al Khafji Dock," you'll load the custom "Al Khafji Dock" map instead of getting booted.

Iam talking about when you get to the directory of the servers, will it just look for the servers with the map pack or will we see it like it was to select a mod in BF1942? Iam really confused as to how this will work and if we will have to load mulitple BF2 games on our Hardrives?

Well you can search for servers by map, so if there is a particular map in the map pack that you like to play then you can search for it.

The servers will probably put some version number or something to let you know they are running a particular map pack...perhaps "TMPv1.0" or something like that to let you know they are running a map pack.

At least that's my guess.
