About the GeForce 4 Fix

now before you all start saying "just get a new card", i have a pc that runs bf2 fine but im trying to get my other pc to work it. it is a 2ghz, 512mb ram with geforce ti4800. i dont expect to run it on anything except low detail.

i tried installing the demo and using the geforce 4 shader mod fix but after a few seconds of blank screen my pc resets itself. i followed the exact steps in the readme and i have the latest nvidia drivers (77.77). does anyone know what could be happening?

I was under the impression that the fix for the geforce4 cards wasn't working 100% but if yuo don't get help here then you can already join the forum where it was first released...

The Shader Mod modifies certain files in order to get BF2 to work with the Geforce4 series of cards. It's not perfect but it's better than nothing.
The problem is that PunkBuster will detect that you've modifies core BF2 files and will suspect that you've tried to cheat resulting in a PB ban.

So it's really just for single player use.

I got an ATI Radeon 950SE 128mb AGP card last week, for my new machine. Will that be alright for BF2?
