i new to bf2 and i just wanted to know how people get into the turrets of vehicles without there being a driver in the car. Is there a separate button or something?

hit f2, f3, f4, f5 ext these will take you to the diffrent positions

This will help you some more: You can hold your crouch key to duck down when in a vehicle's gunner position or a ground-based machine gun emplacement.

You can't do this on small jeeps like the buggy. Also you can't crouch down in the turret on the AA vehicle.
