    Re: Question about KOTOR 2

    KOTOR is alright.

Fable is so much better, but a different style (not turn based = more enjoyable and accesible) Fable - the Lost chapters is out soon on xbox and pc for £20 approx...a steal!

A lot of the time turn based is a lot more accessable, because you can relax while playing. That's what I liked about KOTOR I & II, that you digest the story while in the middle of a battle.

Well while kotor was turn based it was much different from say final fantasy and made it seems more action oriented. Because of this seemed more fun for me and the story in kotor 1 was awsome in almost every aspect. Level design was great. And the light/dark side was very innovative. Overall one of my favorite games ever. Kotor 2 is more or less the same minus story being that good.

i think that KOTOR is a lot more better than Final Fantasy, the main reason is you have more mobility. You can reposition your team farther or closer to the enemy, depending on their weapons etc. In FF its just attack, attack, attack and so on.

In my honest opinion, Kotor 1 was so much better. I have no idea how kotor 2 won a GotY award.

The first time I played I had no idea what was going on. Even after the second time there are huge holes in the story. If you enjoy mindlessly running aorund chopping things up with a lightsabre, then this game is for you. Even the "mini games" and "quizical quests" were childish and simplistic.

One of the cool features added into the game was the addition of Prestige classes. Unfortunatly since there is very little chance of replayability, chose your class and force side wisely. I actually played twice, once as a light side jedi weapon master, and the second as a darkside sith something or another (equilivant to the Jedi master) and I was bored the second time through I never finished.

The game will scale to your level, and you can advance up to lvl 50, but if you follow the game you might be able to reach level 20-24. If you cheat to give yourself more "levels" the mobs will also gain rank. So you will have the oppitunity to try out some of the high end powers. But it all boils down to just hack and slash. Never once was I attacked with a force power in that game.

If you could find the game for $10 and are extremely bored, go for it. Other wise I would just pass it over. There was so much left out of the game it almost comical. Lucas games pushed that game out the door in pretty bad shape ( hmmm, sounds familiar.....). There is a reconstruction project going on in an attempt to complete the missing part and re-add the cut features: http://www.team-gizka.org/downloads.html

But over all, very dissapointing game.
