1.02 patch? 1.01?

Whenever I go to install the 1.02 patch it installs the 1.01 and than quits. I redownloaded the file right off the ea games site and the filename is 'bf2patch_v_102.exe' but all it does is install 1.01. I'm so confused.

Not only that but I can't log in anymore. I logged in once, game errored out, and now it refuses to connect to the log in server thing.

The stupid game refuses to even play on my windows xp installation so I'm stuck using this windows 2000 installation. I've contacted EA and they haven't emailed me back.

I have an amd fx-55, nvidia 6800 gt, 1 gig ram, plenty of free hd space, and the 77.77 version (latest) nvidia drivers. I turned off the firewall and manually routed all the stupid ports in my router to get it to connect the first time. :cry:

It is actually 1.02 it just says 1.01 on the install.


edit:try deleting C:\Documents and Settings\\My Documents\Battlefield 2 folder and try logging back in again.

The version number wasnt changed in the 1.0.2 patcher, so it says 1.0.1.

Thank you for the clear up on the patch info!

Any ideas on the connection issues?
