i've read somewhere that you should run the game in windows mode, the n you can see debbugging-info

There is a debugger .exe, not sure if it works though.

Yup, run it in windowed mode. Alternatively, run BF2_r.exe

make a shortcut on desktop to bf2_r.exe in the bf2 directory.
include the +fullscreen 0 to run it in windowed mode to see the alerts

heres the shortcut
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2_r.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 0 +modPath mods/MYMOD
