I'm not gonna go there because the SB beta drivers for BF2 work great on my Audigy ZS 2. :)
You know me...I'll try ANYTHING! :p

It stems back from my experimentations with BFV trying to get their shoddy EAX implementation to work properly.

    ...it never did

Even newer WHQL drivers have been obtained by station-drivers.com

I'm going to give them a go tomorrow morning.

I'm on a QUEST to get my EAX REVERB EFFECTS!!!

I just wanted to make you guys aware that those are for X-Fi cards only. And since you are running an Audigy2 chip, its best to run the Audigy2 drivers, since X-Fi is a chipset. I mean you wouldn't run Intel 915s on a 925 driver would you?

Audigy 1 and 2 drivers are included with the X-Fi drivers. That's the hidden beauty of it.

            Otherwise it wouldn't work

These are like the ATI drivers - they're unified, and consist of 2 parts: one "universal" part and then a chipset specific part. These downloads include the "2" stuff as well and works great for me.

Odd, they didn't show up in the Audigy2 downloads section....

With these drivers, you should replace BF2OpenAll.dll with ct_oal.dll from the System32 directory.

I get terrible little popping sounds when I do that

                            Oh well.

I can ONLY use the original BF2OpenAL.dll file, otherwise I get those weird audio artifacts.

this is what you are suppose to do not this........ you should replace BF2OpenAll.dll with ct_oal.dll from the System32 directory.
