[BG] BF2 Background Replacement

Some of you may have heard that deleting your BIK video files will speed up BF2 performance and prevent your PC from loading unnecessary files into your memory. I'm pretty sure this is true, but if you delete the menu.bik and menu_loggedin.bik files -- The background will turn to an ugly gray colour.

Basically, for this -- I've put the BF2 logo in the background -- I think it looks much better.

For best results, RENAME the original .BIK files instead of deleting them -- So if you don't like this, you can get the original one back.

I dunno if this is true, but it may speed up 'menu loading' time while in-game.

wow thats really cool, i changed all the files in movies so all i see when i start the game is the login screen, not the movies or ea things

Yeah, I had that before. But the menu's while in-game and logging in were taking memory, so it probably improves performance quite a bit -- I mean each other the menu video files are about 70mb each! Equalling 140mb. It's always good to save something, right?

i just added .old to any i dont want to see, but the ones with menu in the file name

Hmmm, the only one's I can find are actually real BF2 wallpapers for Windows, not for in-game...

Yes, but I'm afraid EA will ban you for it or something because there's alot of other files in the ZIP it is in.
