Looong loading time

It takes about 5 minutes for me to join a map. The loading takes a short time but the verifying is taking at least 4 minutes.

I have AMD Athlon XP, 1.5Ghz, 1GB ram and NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200.

I'm also playing on low settings. What should I do to make it load/verify faster?

Im surprise you got it to run at all....Upgrade your processor and video card....

check your hard drive controller settings under control panel-device manager. Make sure it is set to the fastest setting. PIO is slowest and Ultra DMA-higher number is fastest. I had the exact same problem

Defrag the HD and make sure nothing is running in the background when you start the game.

I have a AMD2400+ (1,Ghz) and a FX 5700 and about the same happens to me.

i have 3.2 ghz, 1 gig of ram, geforce 6800gt and i run the game with , teamspeak, bf2cc, xfire, open and my load times are the same as they are when i dont have those open.
