Nametags and visibility

I am not sure where I should have posted this but here seems as good as any...
The name tags of the players are really annoying. Especially when your on a 64 person map. All you see in Strike at Karkand is blue and red name tags. It's hard to see anything beyond those. Is there anyway that these can be made translucent like the hud and map and that sort of stuff? It would be a nice feature if they added that to the patch of 140 things if there is no way to change it now!

There are mods that remove them completely, like Project Reality (found on this site).

I don't know if there is a setting or console command to not display them.
