Using BF2 packs in mods

Well after looking over the way packs are attached in BF2...it's my first impression that we have to make all new packs if we want to change just one:

So my question is, is it possible to use some kit parts from BF2? Or do we have to remake everything, including the ghillie suits?

the kid from the link, did not remake anything. he inported that halmet from bfv.

The problem is that the guy only added the helmet. The guy doesn't have any other packs. And all the packs for all the kits for a team are in 1 mesh file and we can't open the mesh files.
