CD Key stored on PC anywhere?

Hi,
Hard drive problems, needed to re-install, can't find the damn manual... (yes I know, I should have copied it, or put it somewhere safe, but there you go). Anyway, is the CD Key stored anywhere on the PC? Most likely not, for security reasons, I would think. (It's a valid, purchased copy, bought on day of release).

Search in your registry for:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2\ergc

I asked just in case it was somewhere other than the registry! :)

Anyway, system restore did the job, I now have the key back.
