New, scared and in need of help

Ok im sure i will get shot down for this or nicely pointed in the right direction of probably about 20 posts with the info im looking for, but...........

When playing the game I can't access some servers because its not the same version ???

My questions are

a) do i need a patch or is there a whole new add on?
b)if there is a patch (ive seen 1.03 mentioned) where do i get it
c)also if i need 1.03 is there a 1.01 and 1.02 i need also or just the newest one?
d)by getting this patch will it mean i can't play on the servers i can access now ???

ive been searching this forum for what seems days for these answer but can't find them......

You need to get the latest patch available, 1.02.
Get it here: http://totalbf2.filecloud.com/files/..._file_id=39322

Then you can play on all servers again

1.02 is the latest patch out right now, you don't need 1.01 if you download 1.02, it replaces 1.01.

its the EA official download, 16mb big.

1.03 should be out soon.

Also, if you've never patched your BF2 before, you only have to get v1.02 - which patches both v1.0 (out of the box) and v1.1.

Does the 'Only show same version' filter work or is it just as bugged as the rest of the filters?

That's another weird thing. I have to uncheck that filter to see the divo.net servers. But it's not like I can't actually join the servers, go figure.
