Honestly I really hate being in an extended dog fight only to have the asshat bail out. Really, in 1942 you could almost instantly kill planes with an engine shot. But you can't now. Please if your in a DF, go down with you plane. If someone beats me in the air, then I show them some respect
i hate dog fights, if ever im in a plane its either the su-34 or f15 and as soon as i get a lock on i bail. no matter how many flares i drop or how sharply i turn and dodge, their missiles always hit me. but when its me shooting at them my missiles never hit. i hate planes, im much better at choppers. now, i mostly just co pilot planes.
I really hate it when they're really getting on my nerves, i just keep on turning and i never die, i get killed more by crashing into obstacles or the ground than getting killed by enemy fighters. I can kill fighters easy, especially on Dalian Plant, the annoying thing is how fast the J-10 can turn, but it's ok, but i really hate it when they go on carrier strafing runs, they bomb the carrier and missile all the choppers and jets taking off.

well i partly agree there im no pro pilot but i can get away from them with su 34 and f15 its tricky but it can be done lets just say LOW flying lol and i never shoot missles only for choppers i just gun em down with my MG quite funny when they say i cheat cause they never heard a lock on sound then i see votes againest me when i get scores like 34 1 LOL

The best dodge I know is to pull up like your gonna do a loop then push down hard, when your going vertically down half barrel roll and pul up so you go like this:

I would say extended dogfighting in this game sucks so bad so I have no problem at all punching out when I'm being pawned by some noob who would get his ass kicked both once and twice in a more realistic game.
Dogfights are mostly fun, learn to use some basic defence and attack moves and you can eventually avoid being shot. Best thing to do is practise. Sometimes you run into very good pilots and they simply put rule the sky, but in time you'll get better... just keep flying.
You need to put the stick down-right or left and apply rudder as much as it is needed. It takes some practice :]] Next up, the orhtogonal roll :P But that one perhaps hasn't any function in this game...
