We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
But I dont see the difference In No.8. Why would people get out, there is no advantage, as they are just as easy to kill ( if not, easier ) when they are sat there in the heli. The passengers at least, and as you say they need to get out. Also it makes for a quick get away. I dont have no problem with it on either side. (Attacking one, or being in one)
Most of the time I play either support/sniper as base defense, sometimes it's not possible to defend the base from within the spawn capture radius and the base gets capped.
For instance when an apc rolls in and caps the flag.
Should I then leave the area as I am now Spawn camping?????
Or should I just let everyone (enemy) leave the area unmolested while I wait for help from my team to retake the flag?
Some rules are enforceable (TKing, joining a squad). Others are not. For those that are not, many have posted our intentions to avoid certain actions which we feel are "cheap" or unfair.
If you're one of them, make your statment here.
Out of respect for my fellow TG-player, I
1. Will not bunny-hop.
2. Will not bunny-prone hop.
3. Will not camp spawn points.
4. Will enter UCBs only to destroy CO assets.
5. Will respect specialty squad assets.
6. Will not intentionally engage in suicide tactics, ramming or otherwise.
7. Will not punish accidental TKs.
8. Will not Instant Vertical Capture/Neutralize (IVC/N) apparently undefended flags with the H-60 Helo (Black/Sea Hawk)
NOTES:
3. Taking advantage of a spawner's disorientation.
5. This point doesn't say you'll never under any circumstances take jets when a jet squad exists. Exceptions exist. It's just saying you'll respect the intention and organization of specialty squads and the assets they are organized around.
6. Stuff happens. OUR stuff is always an accident.
8. If there's no enemy around - that's different. (Why get out?) But if the base is occupied, use the H-60 as a transport and cover-fire vehicle. Have the troops get out and take the flag.
Again, these are not rules everyone must follow - just opportunities for us to state we agree to these guidelines out of respect for our fellow gamer. You should not feel compelled to sign.
Item 6:
Original wording:
Will not intentionally engage in ramming/suicide tactics.

Points out that ramming is not always suicide. Duh.

Points out that the distinction made in the notes should be in the list item. The most anyone signing this list should really be agreeing to is to not IVC/N defended flags. If anyone chooses to go beyond this and not IVC/N at all - that's above and beyond this agreement.
It is left up to the discretion of each person to decide if the flag is undefended. This is an agreement, not a rule, and is a personal statement of respect by each signer. Therefore, we'll assume they take adequate measures (as moved by their conscience) to ensure there are no defenders.

Where do you play? Sounds like a game I could enjoy.
what the hell? This is a computer game.... Some of you guys take this wayyy too seriously.
That's your problem. You DON'T take it seriously. That's why some of us can enjoy the game by trying to play it as it would be the real world (simulation). All you bunny hopping homos take the fun of out it.
I agree with 90% of it.
I just don’t think the helo issue is that bad, I don’t think you should just fly in a helo the whole game and just cap CPs. I think it would be better if it was tweaked it so you would have to be on the ground or at least very low to the ground to be able to cap a CP.
The bunny hopping is so lame, one or two hops is understandable but just hopping around not to get shot is so childish, even if it’s against an APC or Tank, just go run and hide, use some skills. Most of the kids that bunny hop will do it even when shooting at you.
I hope DICE comes out with a patch for the bunny hoping!
And I have spawn camped waiting for reinforcements to arrive, and will kill anyone that comes in view. I will be sitting near one of the CP exits (usually the last one to be capped) waiting for some reinforcements, I know I won’t be able to take the CP against there whole army, even in an APC, but I’m also not going to let anyone pass me if I can stop them. And yeah I will shoot you right after you have spawned, I can’t just sit and count to 5 before shooting, the game is to fast pace to wait. It would be good if DICE could make a soft spawn/safe spawn for 3-5 seconds.
A few other things: if you drive into the back of my APC or Tank in a jeep and die, don’t punish my because you can’t drive, and don’t stand next to my APC or Tank as I’m trying to cap a CP, you are asking to get run over. Don’t punish me when you run next to an APC or Tank I just took out when it implodes and you die.
Honor, in a video game? Ok...... maybe 1% of the whole BF2 community will follow this, and that 1% will seriously get raped.
This is a video game people, if all of those rules above piss you off, maybe you should reconsider playing this game. Gaming is gaming, adapt and overcome.
TG offers something different from what is available on ranked servers, so if you like the gameplay on ranked servers, then there might not be a reason to check it out. It is important to distinguish the rules of the TG servers from the agreement which has been posted here (without our knowledge).
The rules are enforced by admins who are almost always paying close attention to the server for reports of breaches and various forms of griefing. There are also some custom scripts on the server which gear gameplay towards our style, such as:
- No punish option for friendly artillery, mines, claymores, bombs and vehicle collisions. This greatly reduces the amount of smacktard auto-PTKers who don't understand how to avoid mines or such things.
- No autobalance for Squad Leaders or COs.
Just a couple of examples.
When people are sick of being TKed for a spot in a jet or having people run around the map aimlessly like a twisted game of Hungry-Hungry Hippos, then they tend to look our way.
What we are about is respect in the community and team-based play. Stats, scores, medals and badges mean little to us. This does not mean that we are better than anyone else or holier than anyone else. This is what we enjoy and we have popular servers full of people who feel the same.
If this is not your style of play, then I respect that and ask that you extend me the same courtesy.
I didn't want to hijack this thread. I just wanted people to understand that TG in no way goes out of its way to push its style of play on to others or pass judgement on the way they choose to frag.
