I have an MSI 6800 Ultra PCI-E x16, and when running BF2, in my display options > nvidia options > gpu temperature it reads around 73° Celcius. Whenever I go on Everest and look at GPU temp, it says 10° C lower. Is 73° too hot?
Is my video card too hot?

Re: Is my video card too hot?
I had a 9800 pro sometime ago and it tends to get hot even at idle speeds. The cooling on the 9800 wasnt all that great. So i bought an cooler for the card and it stayed pretty cool till i fried it from o/c. It didnt have big fans like the 6600, 6800 and the 7800 series of video cards. Not to mention the X800 series has good fans as well. I havent seen an nvidia program out there where you can set your fan speed at 100% while idle and ingame much like ati has ATI tray tools.Comment

Re: Is my video card too hot?
100 degrees C or F? If C then you have some serious problems...if F its up because my 63 C runs at 142 F.
Anyways, can somebody that actually has an answer for me post. And if I need better cooling, can somebody give me a good cooling product. Below 100 dollars would be nice.Comment
