need to update my drivers?

everytime i start BF2 a screen pops up saying that I need to update my drivers for "optimal graphical experience". i bought the nvidia geforce 6800 gt oc before i bought to game and installed the drivers but it still pops up... any ideas as to why?

NVidia drivers before 77.30 won't run the game afaik.
Uninstall your current drivers via the "Add/Remove Programs" in the system control panel and reboot once finished, run Driver Cleaner Professional Edition in safe mode and follow the instructions, reboot the system once this is done and lastly once restarted go to www.nvidia.com and download the latest WHQL certified drivers, I believe the latest version is 77.77
