    Catalyst 5.8 drivers "fix issues"

As the new catalyst were told to work even better on BF2 I (dumb) tried them and now BF2 works just fine. Except the tiny problem that motion blur doesn't work right at all. The colours mess up and it's...err...not right I'll get you a screen ASAP. Anyway, anyone else having these problems?

I couldn't get an in-game shot because the single player somehow worked fine and I thought that now this is fine but when I got back....

Yeah 5.8 really screws up, I was warping and freezing during gameplay, great when you are in a fight and freeze for 5 seconds ... . I recommend 5.5 as they work fine :)

You need to uninstall the 5.7 Cat before you install the 5.8.

              READ THE DIRECTIONS PEOPLE!

              USE THE ATI UNINSTALLER

              Then Install 5.8.

              Problem solved.

I'm with Braxton, mine work fine.

Simply put, I bet you screwed up.

You can use the Cat Uninstaller as posted above, or use DriverCleaner3. You see, if you read the little thing instead of just clicking "OK" it says that you need to completely uninstall previous drivers. Either of these programs will work. I use DriverCleaner3.

i downloaded and tried the 5.8 drivers and they like shredded my FPS, just cut them in half, making my game as laggy as hell.

i went back to the 5.7 ati cats, and aside from the jagged shadows, i havent had any problems with them.

ive had some horrible FPS with the Cat 5.8's. i have a 9800 pro 128MB. i think im going to go to the 5.7 cats again, because i never used them for a while.

5.8 works fine for me, installed over the 5.7s

5.8 seemed better to me. I actually gained in FPS. The catalyst control center makes it easier to make adjustments when fine tuning bf2 gameplay.
