I ain't good at bombing and this video didn't help me at all

Practice, practice, practice.

Just get on an empty server and practice bombing fixed targets. After you bomb press F11 and see where you bombs landed. Keep making small adjustments until you get used to hitting fixed targets.

Then get into a real game and see how well you fair. Here are the steps I found to becoming a good pilot:

1. Learn how to control your jet without crashing into things
2. Learn how to bomb fixed targets
3. Learn how to shoot at fixed targets
4. Learn how to bomb specific fixed targets (at a specific flag for example)
5. Learn how to bomb moving targets
6. Learn how to shoot specific fixed targets (like guys in ground AA)
7. Learn how to shoot moving targets
8. Learn how to shoot down helicopters with missiles
9. Learn how to shoot down helicopters with guns
10. Learn how to dogfight with missiles
11. Learn how to dogfight with guns

That last step is the hardest to learn since nearly every pilot you meet will be somewhere along that ladder of experience. It has something to do with luck (who sees who first in some cases), but most of it is skill and experience. Over time doing bombing runs will be second nature (took me about a month to get the hang of it), and you'll be focused learning how to take out enemy jets.

I'm not a flight instructor or a real-life pilot that has the knowledge on how to win at dogfights, but over time I seem to be winning or getting away from enemy jets more often than not. It takes practice, give it time.

If anything watch pilots using Battlerecorder and learn from their mistakes.

hey guys thanks for the feedback, i know i hit a frendly, i think there was a frendly very close buy and its cinda hard to bomb at 5 fps, yes thats what i was acutally playying at. I cant really use fraps whith a fx 5200 768 megs amd 2000+ , i basically never miss, lots of practice :)

Totally agree with that, that's how I've been practicing since I got the game :P . Still don't use planes alot, sniping is so much better

One tip too shoot accurately with your vulcans is to change your sensitivity. Start an empty server and decide to blast a target with your vulcan, we'll use the JSF-35 on the carrier in the map Gulf of Oman as the target. Fly the Mig-29 to the carrier and quickly spot your target and quickly adjust your crosshair to it. If your crosshair passes over the target when you first adjust, lower your sensitivity. If your crosshair is short of the target when you first adjust, increase your sensitivity. Keep doing this until your crosshair meets the target with only one adjust.

Also, when I mean "adjust" I mean moving your crosshairs in one direction and stopping it, hopefully matching your target.

True enough, but in the BF2 world the F-15E best fills the bombing role where the JSF would best fill the fighter role.

yes thats what i need now can you tell me how to? I have a really old joystick that i probably bought 6 years ago back for the original Combat Flight sim and for Flight Sim 2000 but since then the company that made the joystick went out of business and all the original drivers were for win98. Can some one tell me how to adjust the joystick sensitivity for the game? PLEASE..

and i also have another question. when you calibrate your joystick through the control panel how much does the crosshair jump on your thing or does it stay 100% stable. My thing is about 10-20% inaccurate is that normal?

Best way to bomb accurately is to know the planes characteristics, they are different, and practise, always practise a lot.

Today I spent 1 hour on a local server just practising and well, it paid off...
I missed only 3 bombing runs on ranked server running Zatar Wetlands and flying MiG-29. Every bomb hit, though because I got assist points. I'm gonna practise even more to even perfect my aiming.

Tip that has been said before, but still: After dropping bombs press F11 (or better yet bind a key for that to your joystick and also F9 so you can switch back to cockpit -view) to see where the bombs dropped. This way you will eventually learn the correct moment to release them.

Many who play BF2 knows that the F-15 is a multirole aircraft or known as a fighter-bomber or as you said it, dual-role fighter. However, there are reasons why most of the community calls it a "bomber." The first reason is the fact that the F-15, Su-34, and the Su-30 carries the most bombs and is very effective when it's bombing targets. The second reason is so these fighter-bombers can be distinguished from the fighters (F/A-18, JSF-35, Mig-29, J-10). If I started to say "fighter-bomber" and "fighter" several times in one post, readers can get easily mixed up. Plus, the word "bomber" is shorter than "fighter-bomber" or "dual-role fighter."

When I installed my joystick, I didn't have any programs to calibrate it or to change settings. So instead, I changed the sensitivity of the aircrafts that is found in Battlefield 2's options. I don't know what you mean on the 2nd question, but if you mean does the crosshairs "shake" when i'm playing, then no. However, when I played BF2 at a local cyber cafe, it was shaking all the time even without the joystick. I fixed it by lowering the graphic settings, apparently the FX5600 couldn't handle Effects on high.

Goal: Sergeant, Expert Pistol Badge, Veteran Aviation Badge, War College Ribbon, 3:1 Global Kill : Death ratio.

thats a pretty tough goal, veteran aviator requires 500 hours of airtime. good luck :)

Freak yes it is, but just think of the warm fuzzy feeling i'll have when the game tells me I earned it!

However, the toughest will be the war college ribbon because I need to have a global win:loss ratio of 3:1. This requirement relies on your whole team that doesn't care if they win or lose except for the commander. I need to have a total of 157 straight wins just to get a straight 3:1 ratio, and for every round I lose, I need to regain it with 3 winning rounds!
