dont go too slow or your front will crassh into the ground go at a moderate speed land as your pulling up gently and put on the brakes.

i dont normally bother trying to land, i just stay in the air, re-arm, and fight until i die.

Don't even bother landing a plane. If you're low on health, just kamakazi into a tank or something, then respawn and get a sparklin' clean new one. :)

Helicopters, tilt it back to slow down, and hold S while it's balanced until you hit the ground.

Hard to describe with words. Just gotta screw around with it to learn faster methods of landing.

use a joystick then use the force and common sense ya will do fine

When you hit the runway make sure you speed is around 500 and keep holding S and you should be good.

The Vertical take off planes dont hover as good as the choppers. dont try to cap a base with em because youll be toast

The helicopters in this game are pretty forgiving as I have made many hard landings and done other stuff that would have killed me in the real flying world.

easy as hell with helis, i mean you have an outside view, and the game FORCES you to a controlled descent of about 15 mph. going straight down, its impossible to crash on halfway flat ground.


jets are another story though. they dont glide. they simply drop when you turn the engine down. Dice forgot about momentum for jets, or put in faaar to much drag. you should be able to turn off your engine (after going with after burners for 20 seconds) and coast aroundthe entier level for about 5 minutes, as long as you dont crash or constantly try to climb. instead you simply plummet.

same story for landing. you have to land kinda fast and then go reverse throttle to stop before you run off the incredibly short landing stip.

yes.. the respawn times for vehicles should be longer.

You can land jets, but why to do that? runways are too short and narrow to turn the plane the other way.

And of course every b..tard on those runways run immidiately towards you like the plane is some kind of a b-tard magnet...

i wouldnt bother landing them, but here is how, from the very start.

as you approach the flag and start closing in on roughly 800 units away from it, start to slow down, by the time you reach the runway, you should barely have enough lift to stay in the air. once you get really close to the ground, flare the nose up a bit and you will land soft as a feather.

I never ever land, I just parachute out. Takes too much trouble to land and it takes longer too.

This game suck at landings... I mean, all of a sudden they just blow up after you've landed... It's easier to land with realistic games ^^
