I saw the thread above that showed a hack for playing with 256 players, but only worked on single player. Is there a hack for making online servers support more than 64 players?

it isnt a "hack" a hack is a cheat not editing the files to get 128 players. -

Getting 254 bots is easy, but getting 256 players in MP is not possible.
Considering that most 64 player servers crumble I doubt that going for 100 is a wise idea.Comment

I always play on 64p servers; they seem fine to me. I heard Joint Ops supports up to 150, I think the option should be there for BF2. Servers that can handle it will have the option to do it, the rest will stick to lower numbers.Comment

if you running a linux-32 server you can try to patch the bf2 executable file at 0694c2 and modify 41 to 65 and 0694c4 40 to 64.
and dont forget to modify the serversetting.con file sv.maxplayers to 100.Comment
