Aliens VS Predator: General Topic

I don't know about the rest of you but I LOVE AVP2 for it's multiplayer. Me, having mastered the Alien, LOVE the life cycle option; starting as a face hugger and building up to queen! Only thing is the graphics are a little bit dated.

I could not think of a better game if they made AVP3 with an engine like the one used for Doom 3. Or maybe the CryEngine would be sweet, it would be more like Predator if you could run through the jungle.

Does anyone know if a third game is being released?

Never played the multi AVP2, but the single player was awesome! Scared the crap outta me on more than one occasion...loved it:)

Yeah mate it's a fantastic game, just a pity the netcode is so outta date now

I'm pretty deadly as a drone myself and really love playing life cycle but it is so hard to get people to play it!! last time i played it everyone just played as runners so they could glitch kill, and the hacking situation was way outta hand. There was some talk about a mod being made using the half life 2 engine but i reckon it was all a dream and they were never allowed to make it - shadow walker or wall waker was the name of the mod.

that gmae was sweet...especially multiplaying and i would love a sequel...i still have nightmares about playing as a marine hehehe...beep....beep...beepp..BEEP!!!

Out of curiousity what was the Runner glitch? A HALF-LIFE 2 Mod, that's great, I'll look it up! I tell you there is nothing more scary than playing as a marine, Co-op with a mate... Especially if you've never played through the Marine Single Player previously.

It's that long since i played it mate, i can't actually remember FFS. it's something to do with the runner and its speed.. It really was a wicked game indeed i don't know why they haven't made another version and updated it, would of been far better than F.E.A.R. imo

After a weekend LAN playing it I would still here the motion tracker in my head the following monday in work LOL!!

I just tried to look up the Runner glitch. From what I can tell it's when you pounce and then pounce again directly after the first, from other player's perspective it looks like you never touch the ground but in your view you do. Does this sound about right, Calibre? Doesn't seem to be that special in my opinion but then again I've never tried it.

yeah mate it was something to do with speed and pounce - not really a problem until you have nothing but runners all over the place, i'll try and dig out my copy and reinstall it and have a game or two to see if i can identify the problem again..
