Problem with AA

Can anyone tell me how to use them right ?

Yesterday i locked with my jet several times onto a Heli and fired something like 12 Missiles onto him overall (locked, see him use his flares, locked again and fired), none of them hit, they just missed him in a weird way.

Same thing happened on an AA Tank, a Heli is coming right through me, he fired his flares, i wait and lock on him again, fire all 4 missiles and all of them fly through him but miss in their typical weird style.

I never bother with AA...I rarely can manage a kill...and then, it's only in a chopper that is hovering

I searched for it but there wherent any guides or hinds, everyone just says it would be easy to hit a heli.

It's pointless to use the stationary AA on jets. You will get more Friendly Vehicle Damage hits if you try to fire at an Enemy jet.

Your best bet is to use the AA Vehicles and even then your chances are extremely low to nil, but at least you get 4 of those missles in the air (doubling your Friendly vehicle damage chances as well)

don't bother using aa against any vehicle that is coming straight at you, it will miss with any sudden move that vehicle makes. with the jet/heli coming straight at the nest, the missile has less time to make corrections in its flight path for any movements that your enemy makes.

don't bother shooting at any vehicle that is not within 30 degrees of the center of your field of view and not traveling away from you, it will not be able to make the turn and miss more often than not.

watch your minimap and make sure nobody on your team is in aircraft out in front of your line of site when you fire them off.

the best hint for jets, alot of guys are predictable when attacking the base. they go get ammo, come back from the shortest distance away, drop bombs, go back, same thing. after you see what directions he is coming over you from, line the aa nest up to be following his direction after he passes over you. once you have it lined up, get out of it way ahead of time so he does not see you waiting there on his approach. after he passes overhead, jump in and fire away. it won't do much but frustrate a really good pilot, but it is a good noob trap.

for helicopters, do the same thing, only line it up over the flag, they love to go there. be AT class. I've downed plenty of helis by using the aa nest and an AT missile one after another.
