My first unlock was the PKM. Love this weapon and playing the support role.
As for being accurate at close ranges? All depends on if you are up and moving run into an enemy...most likely you will lose.
If you are prone and the enemy runs into you? Most likely you will win unless they are using the M203 or equivlant (G-30 or something forget it's name).
PKM takes practice to use. There are 2 types of users really. Those who say Full Auto all the time and those who say short bursts.
I fall in the 2nd catagory mainly.
Shooting at individuals- 3-5 Second bursts works great. Keeps it from overheating as fast, keeps a tighter shot group, gives you time to resight your target.
Shooting at groups - 5-8 second bursts and sweep back and forth. If you feel you are losing the fight go to full auto and pray you don't overheat or run outta ammo!
2nd Unlock L85 - I gave it to my son because he always wanted a BB Gun.
