Okay guys, hopefully this will stop all the annoying threads asking "which weapon should I unlock?" This thread won't have any spam, just information on which weapons you have unlocked, comments on them, and which weapon you plan on unlocking for your next rank. Please just follow the same format as me so it stays clean. (Sticky?)


1st Unlock: L85A1
Comments: This medic unlock can be very accurate if you take time with your shots over long distances, semi auto is good for medium-long distances, but you can also work with full auto in short bursts. Sometimes I find this gun to be a pain the the @ss and be very inaccurate, and other times it's the best gun ever. Go prone with it when you're firing.

2nd Unlock: G36c
Comments: This carbine is a huge improvement over the other Spec Ops weapons. This gun is extremely accurate, does a good deal of damage, and has a fast rate of fire. You can pick people off in about 3 shots with this rifle at long ranges, go prone, and use it in short bursts. When you're up close unload into them with full auto. Aim for head shots, and they should drop in two shots.

Next Unlock: I'm leaning towards the PKM because of it's high power, and up close accuracy. At medium-long distances I've heard to use semi-short bursts. This is said to do a great deal of damage to helicopters and jeeps also. A member of my clan has it and he has taken out entire squads with it before.

i too have unlocked the L85 and find it the same as you, once i killed 5 people in a row, once i unloaded a whole clip and somebody from about 100 ft and did nothing (in short bursts) but there we go

for my next unlock, i have looked at my two favorite classes, AT and Support
and i still dont know what one to get, I find the DAO-12 to be amazing but only up close, and it makes me think im playing enginer again :cry:

The pkm is the "squad killer" but the only reason im thinking about AT is cause i love the missle launcher so much.

if you are looking for power it should go G3, PKM, DAO-12.. i think the DAO-12 should be the first.. since its SUCH a big improvement. the M16 medic isnt that bad..(i use it more than the l85... sad right.) but w/e floats your boat. i have the L85, G3, and PKM. thats my line up

First unlock : M95
in the beginning I taugt it sucked , but with some practice this rifle becomes a real killing machine, only one keyword => practice.

Second unlock : L85
Very acurate, even extremely acurate but only on one shot burst, you can even pick snipers of with it, in one shot burst you need about 2-3 shots to take someone down (sometimes 4) . great scope on it. In close combat it isn't bad but against an AK you probably are going to end up dead, isn't to powerfull.

My next unlock will be : the jackhamer
Used this one in the period everyone had all unlocks or mos of us had.
Killed everyone in close combat with it, nowbody will stand near you when carieing this thing and for long range it sucks but you are an engineer and should be in a vihicle.

Also, this unlock is the biggest improvement over the other weapons, the standard weapon of the engineer sucks

I have the G3.

It is good for close quarters on auto. Its truely a body dropper.

However get more than 25 feet away from a guy and ur going to single shot. The single shot is about as accurate as an AK-101 on single shot, but more powerful.

Reloading is needed after about every 2 kills on average

Reload time is med-long (about the same as AK-101).

If you get all ur shots in a guys chest from a avg distance it takes around 3 bullets which is not much. But that is if u got perfect accuacy.

20 bullets in a mag.

No scope. IRON SIGHT IS DECIEVING TAKES PRACTICE.... (exact same one as on the MP5)

Thats it for the G3.

1st unlock: G3 - Used a lot of assault, and i actually prefer grenades over nade launchers, I like banking them off walls and dipping over sandbags. G3 is a m-a-c-h-i-n-e if used correctly, i highly recommend it. You can usually win any CQC.

Next Unlock. G36c - This is a really appealing gun, ive picekd it up a few times and tried it on singleplayer. Fast, Accurate, and good dmg.

My First Unlock Is the PKM. Im not that happy with it. Close Up You Can kill someone with 2 shot, but medium long distance its lie the saw, but a diff sound. I hope I Get better with it.

My next unlock is going to be the g3, i killed 3 people by jumping around the corner and spraying that thing on em. if i could choose again, i would go with g3!

1st unlock L85:

This gun is seriously accurate in zoom. Even doing bursts in zoom can rack kills. Be careful because the spread can get ridiculous after holding down full auto or repeated single shots. The gun does wonders at range. Up close it is less to be desired but full auto does come handy. The ideal way to use this gun for close combat is to tap the trigger as fast as you can and not hold it down. Overall I find the gun great.

2nd unlock DOA-12:

Wow I love this thing. It seriously owns in close combat. The 12 round mag will pummel anyone that comes close. I love switching from rocket to pistol and then to this. It is such an improvement that you will never go back to the submachingun again. More powerful/bigger spread/better accuracy........pretty awesome. However like all shotguns the distance is fairly close so just know when to use the pistol.

Next unlock probably will be Spec Ops but I rarely play anything besides engineer/medic/AT so it might be jackhammer. However this is all 15,000 pts away so I better start playing.

1st unlock: MK3A1(Jackhammer),first i thought "oh sh*t, what have i done..."..then after playing with it for 5 minuetes i fell in love, sure ive had to get better with my pistol, but when somone meets me with my jackhammer, they either be on my team, or dead already. the PKM isn't the only squad killer.

2nd unlock(not gotten yet):not entirely sure yet, either the g3 or the PKM, probably PKM because i always either play engineer or support, i like helping people. With plenty of ammo for me and my comrades, and a big ass gun to lay covering fire, what else do you need?

First unlock: G3 and what a mistake that was.. I never play assult so really no matter how you look at it it was a waste of an unlock. servers me right for not knowing how the unlocks worked right off the start lol. Dont get me wrong... its a cool gun.. pretty powerful and such.. but i just dont use that kit at all.

second unlock: THE PKM

this beast was worth every last point i had to get to unlock it. Very useful if used properly.. its not a run and gun rambo type weapon. if yer gonna play support.. then do just that.. support your fellow squad mates and lay some covering fire while the assults do their job.. and remember your supply bags help everyone out.. specially the AT guys.

third unlock (if i dont lose interest in the game before i make it that far)
is a toss up between the M95, L85A1 or the DAO-12. medic and AT are the only other kits i generally play (depends on whats needed in my clan/squad) the sniper kit is just a new found past time. well we'll see if i can make it to the next rank first before i start dreaming of the "new" gun to be had!

First unlock: M95 at first was surprised with the power this thing releases, most of all the noise. Taking a shot with this thing will make you deaf! Dissapointed with the fact that you have to be right upclose to kill someone in a chopper or hitting them through side windows. But with practice it is defo a killing machine as mentioned earlier. Its very rare to come upfront against a chopper anyway as a sniper you don't really capture flags... in my experience I defend them or give cover to those who are capturing them.

Second unlock: G36C awesome weapon, well better than the default spec ops gun. Doesn't shake as much giving you more accurate shots but I find the reload faster too...

Third unlock: this would be the G3. When all unlocks were available I used this gun and found it to be the best... but due to the lack of sprint and stamina of this class I hardly use him. Whats the deal with only one smoke grenade?

Yay, first post here.

1st Unlock: DOA

Honestly, I love this thing. It is a great first unlock. I have taken out 2-3 people that are camping flags before I get gunned down. If you can get close enough with this thing, no one will survive. The 12 round load allows you to do maximum damage without the need to reload in the middle of a fire fight. That is, if your in range. Thing sucks at medium to long range.

2nd Unlock: G36c

Haven't gotten to this point yet, but I am leaning towards this unlock for the simple reason that every squad needs a Spec Op.....every squad. With this gun, I can blow the artillery and uav and wait a few yards back to see if some fool commander is coming to repair them....pop pop :) That and I like to be able to take out enemies at a distance so that my squad can rush in with some sense of safety.

3rd Unlock: L85A1 or PKM

Haven't really thought about this yet, but I might lean towards the PKM seeing as how the squads I normally play with have at least 1 medic already. Then again, some squads have no medics. Will have to wait and see. Still got a long way to go.

1st unlock: M95

At first I was a bit dissapointed (then I still hoped on more power, IRL this thing will take off an arm with one shot) but after some practice I now love the thing.

Especially vs vehicles this thing rocks .. if you find yourself having nothing to do at a time, take some shots at a helo or something, this thing will amaze you.

2nd unlock: L85

This thing is also nice, I find this is the only weapon I really switch between single and auto. For the rest short bursts work fine, but this thing is deadly at range and set to Single shot. On some maps you will rack up more kills than a sniper or an assault no problems.
