    vehicle/player respawn timers need tweaking.

Or at least, vehicles need to respawn BEFORE the person that was killed in it does...

Im all for the mad scramble for a vehicle, especially jets and copters, when one of them spawns. Gratz to the guy who hits 'E' at just the right time to get the vehicle. Thats even been me a few times. But if you get your plane, copter, tank, APC, jeep or buggy destroyed with you in it, you should lose your turn, and let the next guy have a shot.

All too many times Ive missed the pilots seat of a vehicle to someone (PlayerA for now), which is fine. PlayerA flies around for 5-10 minutes or longer, or he crashes because he hasnt had enough practice, or maybe he's just a jerk who crashes a copter into the water or ground repeatedly. Then while Im waiting still, PlayerA spawns in my area, runs to the spot beside me and grabs the vehicle as soon as it spawns. That is, if he doesnt TK me to get the thing. Of course, you might always get lucky and get the drivers spot, only to have someone C4 or mine your path, if they dont simply stand in front of you.

Anyway, it'd be nice if the vehicles would spawn before the pilot does, so that others would have a chance. It might also keep a good bit of players from hanging out on the carrier waiting for a vehicle.

    Just a thought..

I look at it another way. A vehicle of any sort used by the right person is not something that should spawn as often as the player that just was killed in it. I would like to see much longer spawn times on vehicles so that when you lose one, you are seriously handicapped.

Vehicles are not for lone wolves going out to create havoc. They should be used in squads or a group of squads to capture and hold territory.

I had a recent experience on the Kubra Dam map where I was rolling with a group of tanks, APCs and Anti-aircraft and we made an extremely efficient fighting force, capturing multiple bases and decimating the attack choppers trying to take us out.

With engineers driving two or so of the vehicles, keeping the whole group repaired and moving was a cakewalk.

Of course, it all ended for me when I went one way and the rest of the group went another...my fault, not theirs.
