New Characters Coming ......

....... With the Special Forces expansion coming soon, we will have new characters to play. Or so they say. If you've ever played JO/JOE then you know that at least that other company (name withheld for sensability reasons) provided a Female character to be played by the females or those gentlemen who want to touch their female side. It would seem that, unless Special Forces adreesses this oversight, that EA has taken the position that there are NO women in combat or perhaps should be. What's you take on this?

Ugh, we've already talked about this for BF2 a long time ago. No, it would be stupid. I dont want doots running around me playing as a girl. Besides, I dont even think alot of girls play this game..

well, being a girl in the game MIGHT give you some more stamina for running since they're traditionally smaller than men haha

That would be ridiculously stupid. It's been shown in numerous tests that people are more comfortable seeing a man die in combat then a female, which is why most females don't fight on the front lines. In video games, you rarely kill female grunts for similar reasons.

And adding female models because gay people play BF2? How ridiculous is that?

well in the Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault / Spearhead series from EA there was a player model of a female that you could use, and it came in quite handy, because (her) player model was thinner and could manuever her way in like dodging bullets or whatever.

women in the US military do very little or no fighting combat-wise. they're mostly support roles.
