What do you look for in a server?

I have a ranked server up and running (TrinityGames.net hoc-clan.com 70.86.73.226) and I am trying to figure out what gamers are looking for in a popular server. My server is very busy in the evening and all through out the weekend but is slow during the day on weekdays. It is currently ranked 66 on Server Spy but I would like it to be in the top 50. I have a customized map list that has a nice variety of the more popular maps along with different map sizes and the server is very well admined. So my question to the Total BF2 community is, what are you looking for in a server? Your response would be appreciated.

I look for a server with a Spawn time around 15 seconds. I have been in some where the Spawn is so fast that the guy you kill is back to kill you before you even have a chance to regroup, reload and move. I look for a Server that encourages Squad play though even then that doesn't discourage the Points Whore Lonewolves. Mostly I look for a nice Ping so I may have a least some small chance of staying alive as I am quite the noob.

Appreciate the feed back Roland and we have everything you mentioned already. The server is located in Dallas and has a nice low ping for West and East coast gamers. Keep em coming folks.

good ping, 1 or 2 round maps, team-balancing on (cuz NOBODY knows how to keep them balanced), 15 sec spawn at least.

i think you have less people on during the day because people going to school and work.

What is everybodys opinion on how many rounds. We have it set to two rounds but sometimes the second round starts and you don't really want to play the same map again. I know this has happened to me.

What I Like

One of the number one things I look for in a server right off the bat, is ROUNDS PER MAP. Usually when I start looking for a server to join, me and my friends in Teamspeak decide what map we want to play at (lately Gulf Of Oman) and then try to find a room that is going to be playing many rounds at that map. I hate joining a game to play "here" and then it suddenly ends the round and goes "there".
Secondly, and really more important, is the effort of teamplay and the removing of what I call "Rambos". Rambos are those ******* guys that always jump in a jeep/tank or whatever and leave everyone behind. They rarely follow any orders or make any effort to join a squad, and they fit right in line with those guys who like to steal planes and choppers out from under you, when you were obviously waiting there first. People should not be shy about joining a squad and working with them, follow orders and help win the game. A good functional squad can rake up tons of points while other people run around lost, but yet there are still those people. Anyway, I'm starting to rant, but you get the point.

Vote - Kick..dont make the wining vote number to high.
Punish system OFF
1 Round per map
15 Sec Spawn time
Also a + is having active admins on or some how monitoring for stats padders and Team killers.

I mainly focus on ping and at least 2 rounds per map. There's nothing I hate more than to find a map I want to play, get on the server, and find that it's almost over and we move on to another map.

3 rounds a map and 15 sec spawn and i love 32 player servers and not 64 to big
