Commander + Officer Ribbon.

Hi guys,

I've been playing as a commander for a while now and at the end of the round i end up with 20 - 30 points (with out x2 bonus), I do the following:

- Command squads
- Use UVA/Art/Scan/Supplys
- Spot enemys for team mates
- Follow requests from players
- Everything realy

But i don't know why my points are so low, sure I end up with round 50 - 60 and a gold/siver/bronze. However the point i'm trying to make is that i'm going for 50 points for my Officer Ribbon and i can only get 50 with a x2 bounus, and thats useless because it happens when the rounds over.

Anyone got any tips for me of how to get 50 points for the ribbon (without the x2 bonus)?

Yes, FIGHT...Alot of commanders just hide and command...You can Fight aswell, there by boosting your score to about 60+ in game and x2 after game.

I've heard a lot of people say that you don't get points for catching flags and killing people, howver it's one thing I have not done, it's got to be worth a try, cheers for the info.

the 2x score doesn't count for the ribbon, you need to reach 50 points in the game.

This is actualy very easy, look for a 16 player server on a 32 player map, then you are at least 45min commander and you will reach about 60 to 70 points, got my ribbon this way

yeah x2 counts, and you personally dont get points for capping flags and killling people.

Its a waste of time fighting because as Got3n™ said, you get no points for flag caps, kills, kill assists, or driver assists. Your better of just hiding somewhere and being a commander.

Commander's points are apparently just the average of the team score, nothing else, so just be a commander, not a fighter. So go to a server that has 20 people on a 32p or 64p map, with no time limit, and eventually the points will go high enough. It helps if there's a lot of flag switching in the game. Don't try to kill off the enemy quickly if you're trying to get the badge/ribbon.

i like to fight as commander, but people try to boot me for putting in work, i mean im hiding while well loosing, so i jump in the nearest thing and go help, once i do that someone does a vote

and for score you get like 1 point for ever 3 kills i think, and someone told me even the - points cound, i had 27 points and -14 team, and got the badge...yea im trying to go for that ribbon too its hard

Have you experimented to test this? It's a little frustrating for this to be so poorly understood.

several times as Commander I have had 2nd or 3rd highest points on the team when we lost so the 2x multiplier has not kicked in.

VERY EASY.

find a 64 map server where there are only less than 20 people playing. i prefer dragon valley because:

a. open space
b. lots of flags to cap
c. lots of tanks everywhere

Hmm, were the other guys getting a lot of negative points? One guy's theory is that it's the average of all positive points only, not counting negative points.

EDIT: Also, don't forget to take into account the 2x bonus if you win. That's done after the average obviously.
