How much Upload and Download would a BF2 Linux Ded Server use?

Just wondering, as one of our clan members has access to a box we could use for dedicated server (p4 3.2, 512 ram, linux etc), and the only real problem was how much upload and download a dedicated server would use. The ISP does not count upload, but does count download, 20gb limit per month then capped.

It's 1500\512k adsl (which the player said hosted CS 1.6 dedicated server well).

512 kb/s upload?


it'll run a VOIP server....but not a BF2 server.


You will need for 16 players at least 1.0 mb/s upload and 1.0 mb/s download. This is for unranked, ranked of course need much more.

in addition to this when each client connects the server will fade, IE: "A Problem with your connection has been detected" messages all around.


IMHO: dont try it, it's just going to be a huge dissapointment.
