Anyone seen this happen?

in the BF2 manual in the hints and tips it says " Be careful when you fire a round at an enemy tank at the wrong angle it might ricohet off and hit a nearby teammate". i have never seen this happen! Does it mean only bullets> or does that include other tank shots, AT missiles etc?
Has this ever happened and if so i would like to see it :)

I've read that too. But I think it happens rarely. I for one haven't noticed it at all

I haven't seen it happen, but I'm sure one day my rocket will ricochet off and hit a nearby friendly squad - with each one instantly punishing me of course as it was definitely an intentional tk !!!

LOL but it would be kind of funny seeing someone run up to put a C4 on a tank and then a rocket ricocheting off and killing him :P or your humvee drives past and get blown up by it :)

When I'm driving a tank and some crazy crack-head starts firing his assault rifle at me (for some bizarre reason this happens all the time) it certainly sounds like the bullets are ricocheting off the tank. In reality, however, I haven’t seen any evidence that they do.

I don't think the ballistic model is anywhere near that advanced. What they were probably trying to cover is splash damage from your shells which can kill friendlies. I know I have killed a friendly special opps C4 ninja before who tried to C4 a tank I was shooting at when I was in another tank.

Would be so funny when a tank shoots a tank and it ricochetes. And the anti tank rocket would be pretty useless, a better name would be tankbouncing rocket.

I very rarely shoot at a tank unless I have a big fat weapon tbh. I would be a tad peeved if an A/T rocket bounced off though.

never noticed that, but you hve to be an idiot when you shoot a tank with a machine gun, it only says where you are and doesn't harm to the tank

Well I saw a tank round richet off a wall, but never saw it agian. But that was version 1.00 too.

well i dont know about tanks but once i put a c4 pack on the front driver side of a dune buggie car and the damn pack flew up in the air and landed like 6 feet on the other side of the car this was one of those things that me me go hummmmm

well the reason i put the pack on the car was simple i allways put 2 c4 packs on the car so when i get into a car and drive around when i see a tank and use my awsome driving skills to get up on it i hop out like 3 car lenthes in front of it (ow yea befor u get into the car switch to detonator) the car has enough momentum to rool up to the tank i hit the detonator and booom no more tank
