Alright, I've been flying since BF:1942 and I know what I'm doing. Do NOT start in this thread about "using tactics to overcome." I've done that. Its those situations where they get lucky that bring out the problem once more.
The problem? Inbalance. Every single United States aircraft in the game will always lose in dogfight with their Russian/Chinese equivalent. Why? The Russian/Chinese equivalents have tighter turning radius. Now, some may say this is realism. I say, fine. Let the planes be realistic. And some would smirk and nod. Then I would point out that the F-15E has a radar mode capable of searching 40 nautical miles. Mm. Realism.
If two pilots of equal skill go against each other in like planes, one from U.S. and the other from MEC/China, the MEC-ese/Chinese pilot will win, simple as that. NOTE, you as*hats who think they know it all, that I said pilots of equal skill. This means they would not be able to juke another. Right.
So what am I asking? DICE Europe has always loved talking about their paper/scissors/rock system of balance and in BF:2 they obviously mentioned little about it, saying that they hoped the uniqueness of the weaponry would balance the game. IT DOES NOT. If you give the U.S. horrible planes, then give it longer acquisition and missile range. Its quite simple AND, for you nerds of Rowhan, REALISTIC.
That is all I have to say. Flame, delete, speculation, or moderation may now follow. Thanks.
