Rank Affect Game?

Hey there all!!

I was wondering does your rank have any effect on the way you perform in game? ( More accurate, faster, etc,etc).

not at all, it just gives you priority when applying for commander.

I hate when I apply for commander and dont get it because someone with a higher rank got it, only to have him be a fool.

I guess thats what mutiny if for though, too bad it takes so many people.

Hmm...I read the person with the highest score (that round) in the squad is next in line if the SL leaves.

If you have a higher rank people know that you play BF2 more than other people of lower rank. All it means is that you play more than other people.

Nope, i wasn't always the highest scorer in the squad but i had the highest rank so it kept putting me as SL. I wish as a higher rank i could have just assigned the guy SL because i didn't want to do it.

Lower ranks have to listen while you yell at them like Gunny on VOIP. :p

No effect, in fact some of the higher rankers are nothing special. I've played against them and they're not gods. They are however very good at helo whoring, medic and/or ammo bag spamming. I played alongside & against Broggi tonite (top 5). He sucked. Couldnt fly a plane for more than a few mins without getting killed, on Karkand had his arse handed to him and on the helo maps, he whored the Blackhawks, until he got bored getting shot down with ATMs.. then left. Some of these guys must look for servers full of n00bs and stat pad anyway they can. You only need to look at the team work scores which are often way higher than the combat scores.. a sure sign some serious padding or helo whoring has been taking place.

Take the ranks with a pinch of salt, they don't mean much.
