Is it possible to convert the BF2 sound files (ogg format) to MP3 or wave formats? I would like to play a bit with those sounds in MP3 or wave formats.
Did anyone try (and succeded) to do that conversion?
I tried to convert it with another "ogg" converter. It converted the ogg files to MP3 format, but it doesn't play. I tried many files, but they don't play, it's like an empty MP3. Do I have to do something special in the conversion process?

Files are in .OGG format and can be converted, or you can convert your MP3's to .OGG's :p
As far as i'm aware it's NOT possible to mod the sound files, If you DO then you can't play on multiplayer games as when it says "Verifying Client Data" it performs a CRC check on the files in the "mods/bf2" directory.
If somebody manages to SUCCESSFULLY mod the sound files plz let me know
I suggest downloading WavePad, you can convert any type of audio file to .wav format. I tried it with the .ogg files and it wokred perfectly. Along with other things such as playing it backwords and adding filters. It's a really neat program.
