i don't think it will improve your load times by much but it will make the game run smoother. i have 1 gig of ram and thinking of doubling it!

It will help some, but it also has to do with your CPU. With XP and high end games like BF2 you want at least 1 gig. You are running at MINIMUM recommended ram.

bryan G what are your specs i wish i could do that in 30 secs. i have 2.1 ghz 512mb, and x800pro right now some things are on high and low will i be able to run more things on high.

i have a 3800+ processor, with 1.5GB RAM and i load a map in about ummm.....30 secs to 1 min.....

1GB of RAM makes a world of difference for load time and gameplay. I removed 512MB from my machine to test a theory and I couldn't believe the difference. Definately bump your RAM up to a gig or higher if possible.

With my P4 3.0 Ghz 1 gb ram 6600 gt 128 mb pciex16 I get about 15-40 sec to load a map. If you get 2 gb ram it takes about 15 seconds to load a map sometimes 8 seconds. I know this because my friend has 2 gb of ram.

There's no way I could wait that long for a map to load. I average about 45 sec with verification. Specs in thread.

i got 18 second load times, but man how slow is your pc to load in 7-10 min!!!!
