I unlocked the same thing for my first unlock. Not impressed with it - should have gone with something else. Not to say that I am not using it - but still...could have done better.

thats y u should get the PKM, u see, it really takes 3 shots form the pkm to kill someone, since it does the same damage as the chinese and mec sniper rifles!! and u get unlimited ammo for being a support!!

Well the best trick actually is to always have full auto on, just incase the enemy comes around the corner. When you see an enemy in the distance, semi/long range, use single shot.

I absolutely love the gun. At first I hated it, then I read somewhere that the scope was almost as good as a sniper rifle so I went back to it and realized why I hated it so much. The scope makes it feel like you're not shooting from as far away as the other rifles. You're expecting to make shots that you normally wouldn't worry about with the assault rifles. Plus with the scope you can actually see where every bullet lands so you think you're even more inaccurate. Once I got used to the bullet spread and effective range of the gun I became as good with it as I am with the spec ops guns.

I dunno maybe some people really can't hit anything with it but I think it's the second best rifle in the game short of the spec ops guns and I can't heal myself as a spec op. I played the demo for a month and I've spent a lot of time on all the unlockables and I think the L85 is the one gun with a serious advantage over the default model (massive zoom increase) without losing anything.

L85 isn't very good. Completely inaccurate. M16 is more accurate, AK101 and AK47 are better auto plus they have better damage and are more accurate.

i hated this gun at first, but have grown to love it for USMC. The M16 sucks so i use this in its place, but for MEC and China I use the AK. Its wierd, sometimes when i use it in CQC i can dominate and other times i cant hit squat

nah i find in cloe quaters u can just let it rip(only if its like really close like knife fight close)
if hes about 6m away u can still get him with auto just try 2 use burst. only thing is while u wait 4 a sec 4 the cross hair 2 come back u get owned. medic is a defensive kit keep behind the lines & heal ur men.sniping is the best way 4 the l85a1. it would say medium to long range is the best situation 4 the l8 i only use it on inf maps like karkland n mashtuur i find it very effective in these maps. and after using the l8 my kill death went from 1.1
to 2.1
last night i gto 28 killz with 14 deaths and a little while back i got 48 teampoints and 2 kills and got a gold. overall i think the medic kit is very usefull but it has its downsides just like all the kits

Oh well. I guess you guys can't use it.

After figuring it out I have been top 3 almost every game I play from the beginning of the round. And usually have a kill death ratio better than 2:1. Usually 20+ kills.

Single shot guys. Just try it. Go play Karkand and stick it on single.

Also...you need to realize medic is NOT an assault class. You can't just run in expecting to kill everyone. You have to use finess.

I always use single shot so i can't comment on ROF. As for damage, well that's just plain wrong. L85 is actually 2 damage stronger than the assault rifles.

I just got my first unlock...
I did the medic gun unlock...
ITS SO SWEET!!!
I drop guys so much easier now...
And its good for sniping too...
I just wanted to say, that the medic unlock is REALLY awesome...

U haven't tried the G36C, have u? Man, probably, the L8 does more damage than the g36c but the hell with that, personally i prefer the accuracy of the SpecOps weapon. Whats the point of a weapon wich does medium-high damage if u cant hit a ****. I mean, even in single shoot mode, some times its difficult to hit an enemy. Sry, but it pisses me off, i think that weapons with scopes should be the most acurate ones but they aren't... im a bit dissapointed with that. However, with the G36C i can hit any1 even while moving and the single shoot mode is that sweet that i can snipe snipers and i does pretty nice damage too.

PS1: My first unlock was the G36C (really love it)
PS2: My second unlock was the L8 (pretty dissapointing)

Ah right, forgot the aks have extra damage. I never really cared for the aks, they seem much more inaccurate and have worse recoil to me. Probably different to everyone though.
