What is the thing that drops from your corpse

This has been bugging me for a long time.
what is the thing that drops from your corpse?
I try to pick it up, but I cant. What is it there for?

its the guys kit. if you pick it up you will switch to whatever class he was and you will get his unlocked gun (assuming he was using it)

You mean the duffle bag? That's the kit the guy was using. And you can pick it up by pressing G for grab.

yeah its always a good idea to keep a eye on your team mates and what weapons they arry. When they die you can grab there kit and somtimes get unlocked weapons which is great if you want a sneak preview to help you decide whioch gun to unlock when u go up a rank next :)

Also if you are having problems getting resupplied with ammo dead guys kits are very useful. I know I grab AT kits all the time if I am playing AT and run out of rockets.

yeah thats a good tactic. also, if you see a friendly medic go down, pick up his kit and revive him. you've just gained some points and revived a teammate, and maybe also picked up the L85A1, if they have it.

yeah that too or if its a support kit of medic kit. You can swap quickly throw out ammo bags and medi packs then go back to your original kit and reload/heal :)

Yeah I do that with support and medic. Throw all their ammo/health packs as well rather than just what you need as once you drop the kit again it won't last long but all their ammo/health packs will. Not sure if you get points for these if team mates later pick them up or not given you have swapped out of that class.

Definitely, always pay attention to what kits are around you. I thought I was the only one that does that with medics. I grab dead guys medic kits all the time and revive people. But when I'm a medic no one ever seems to revive me with my kit. I think it's happened once, and I was totally shocked. I usually wind up typing like a madman to get their attention to revive me, then my time runs out.

you could type like 2 madmen if you so desire but the fact remains the same, live players cant see dead players chat messages.

yeah I pick up medics kits to revive them and tell people to take my kit and revive me when im medic, they dont
