    Minor solution to some problems.

DONT BE AFRAID TO CALL EA SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, I ended up calling EA support. I had to manually install a 'setup.dll' into my windows folder. Then, i went to the shortcut for BF2, right clicked, went to Properties, and at the 'target' portion, at the very end of the target the last word is 'fullscreen 1' and I changed the ONE value to 0. That allowed my to start BF2, BUT then I had another problem, it couldnt find the dx3d9_24.dll this time when i tried to start the game, however, if you explore the BF2 CD-rom, you can copy the compressed 24 and 25.dll files into system 32 folder under windows.(make sure to uncompress) Then I start BF2, change the resolution to 1024x768, then quit BF2,go back and change the 'fulscreen 0' back to fulscreen 1 on the shortcut for BF2 on your desktop.

This should help if you have a hard time starting BF2, or crashing during game play. Of course I have installed all of the latest drivers, and before I did, I used drivercleaner(dowloadable from the web). I ran a scan on my hard drive(to make sure no bad segments), defragmented it, and made sure that before installing AND during game play, I have ALL uneccessary processes stopped by using CNTRL-ALT-DELETE. I used to have a bad hard drive that used to cause Rainbow 6 to crash all of the time after some minutes of gameplay, but wouldnt crahs other games, so do scan disk on your Hard drives.
