it isn't usually for me i gues it depends on the map and the server. Often yeah i won't get in the BH when i first spawn but i usually get in there at some point.

My mate is running his pc with 1.5gb ram now so when a new level loads he spawns ages before anyone else so he has the pick of the vehicles so somtimes i get him to pick me up :)

i think you should get points for repairing anything, whether a teammate is in it or not. you're doing your job of repairing, so why not?

Because just like everything else in the game, you'll have a bunch of guys damaging an empty vehicle, repairing it, damaging it, repairing it, so on and so forth.


I like the engineer's weapons. The MEC shotty's great for popping up over the sandbag walls when someone's prone while trying to cap a flag. The pistol's not too shabby either.

Medics get a point for every 100 points of health replenished.
Support get a point for every 100% worth of ammo replenished.
Engineers get a point for every 1000 points of armor replenished.

Repairing with the wrench is three times as powerful than area repairs in a vehicle.
All vehicles, except for the Transport Choppers (with 1500) have 1000 hitpoints.

The engineer's strength is being in a vehicle with other vehicles.

Get in a tank, get a buddy engineer in another tank, and sit back to back in an expanse of land. The firepower and repairing of each other will make you quite formidable unless you get hit with an onslaught of firepower that'll drain armor faster than it can be repaired. In this means, on a very populated map, repair points will flow like water.

Or if you somehow get ten guys to all work together, put four engineers and one support in two APCs each. The repair amount will stack and both will be almost absolutely invincible (one shot kills) and have infinite ammo. Since repairs are spread out, it would seem guys would get repair points much more slowly, but considering there's ten guys in one location, the enemy will be gunning for them, so damage will be massive and repairs will be quick.

If I remember correctly, I think I got mine by being in a Tank/LAV next to a teammate in a Tank/LAV. we just stayed close and repaired one another. Also - I think I got my Armored Service Ribbon in that same round. But - my memory sux, so I prolly am way wrong. *shrug*

Font forget...
If you repair a vehicle, it must be occupied...
not empty...
So getting out of your own vehicle and repairing it, will get you exacty ZERO points...
When someone is driving buy and you see there vehicle is damaged, you repair it and you get credited for it...

the most i ever got in 1 round was 6 repair points...
