Air Defence Ribbon

Hi, does any one know if you can use the Anti-Air gun on the USMC ship to get your Air Defence ribbon?
(USS-essex I think it's called)

That is a VERY good question...I think you can but mine wasn't recieved from the ship.
I mean you must be able to otherwise no-one would use the gun at all.

Yes, im pretty much sure you can. You can also go take a Tunguska / PZG-95 / Linebacker and go frag 11 infantry.

its easy ribbon to get ive got it by killing 1 hlf full BH and kill some infantry

So you have to spend so many minutes in an AA weapon AND get so many kills both in the same round?

I haven't been specifically going for this ribbon but I have spent lots of time in AA emplacements and have yet to receive this one.

Maybe I oughta spend more time in mobile AA.

Seems like people here get the ribbon more from shooting infantry than from shooting air threats...doesn't that sound messed up to you? i.e. AA SUCKS!

find a mobile AA and go to the enemyies main spawn and just camp there a while...

on dragon valey or something, get in the AA vohicle shoot the dam chopper down, goto an enemy base and kill everybody running around there with it, you will have the ribbon in no time, infantry kills count so dead easy

Or sit in a stinger as commander and arty people if your lazy

jump in as commander and use artty :) same for ground. dont know about tank or aircraft

Very easy ribbon to get. On Dalian Plant or Gulf of Oman, Go US and sit in the AA guns on the carrier. MEC/China love to ride their heli's and migs over to bomb,shoot,missile your newly spawned teammates.

Even if they destroy the AA gun on your carrier, it spawns in about 4 seconds. EA wanted to design it so it's veyr hard to bombard the carrier. Unfortunately, no one bothers manning the guns. (I know I don't anymore since I got my badges for it )
