    Is the m95 worth it?

Okay, I'm a Sergeant and i'm halfway to SSgt. I enjoy sniping sometimes but I find the m24 and the SVD to be really inaccurate. I have unlocked: G36C, L85, MK3A1. So it's a choice between the M95, DAO or the PKM. I barely play support so probably not the PKM. The G3 is a definite no, the grenade launcher is way too useful plus I find myself running out of ammo with that gun in the worst situations.

I just want to know how big of a step the m95 is from the m24 besides being able to shoot at pilots.

If this thread has been made before, I'm sorry.

Hello no it aint worth it!!! LoL

If you like defending things like the TV station get the PKM. If you play URBAN most of the time get the PKM. If you play in a squad get the PKM. If you......just get the PKM :P

Personally, my next gun is the M95...all the other guns are pretty well balanced against each other apart from the Sniper Rifle's.

      Get it...

I dont regret getting it for an unlock, i love it, so easy to kill people, the people who say it sucks just dont know how to use it.

Personally i think its a step down., it feels much less accurate then the m24, and the crosshair is way too thick that even if it was accurate, you couldnt aim properly..because the target is covered completely by the cross..heh

            The features of M95:

Ability to penetrate bullet proof glass
Ignores body armors worn by infantry
Ability to destroy fuel tank or oil barrels in one hit.

Damage is same as the M24
Accuracy is same as the SVD

The fact that the M95 can penetrate body armor without any decrease in damage gives significant advantage over all the sniper rifles. If you hit the infantry's torso (the largest part of the infantry) once, you can hit any part of his body with the sniper rifle or a pistol to finish him.

This gun is the perfect replacement for the SVD and the unfamiliar Chinese sniper rifle and a good upgrade from the M24 in terms of damage and more ways to snipe.

good luck hitting anything at greater ranges than you could hit w/ a g3 or g36c though.

Its true the m24 is a more accurate gun but its sooooo much better than the auto rifle when playing china/MEC

P.S i also have the G36C unlocked and have to admit its superior to the m95 at medium range or less UNLESS the sniper is good enough to get a headshot quick

P.P.S How do i buy the awp in bf2??? i needz teh helpz0r

"I just want to know how big of a step the m95 is from the m24 besides being able to shoot at pilots."

The m95 is a carbon copy of the m24, with the following changes:
                  - it's much louder
                  - the crosshairs are as thick as a tree trunk
                  - it's much less accurate (twice the deviation, ~1/4 the accuracy, in practice you can miss some very easy shots)
                  - it shoots through glass (this isn't particularly useful)

If you dislike the MEC/china sniper rifles, and you intend to snipe for those teams, the m95 is probably worth considering (it's different).

But compared to the m24, the m95 is junk. (as MEC/china I'm tending to pick support/spec ops, and only snipe if I find a m24 sniper bag).

I enjoy sniper alot. I usually go sniper or engineer. I have already unlocked the engineer weapon. Despite what others say I love it though reloading can take a bit. As for the sniper unlock. Being able to take out chopper pilots is going to be fun. :). As for the default weapons I prefer the Mec/China rifles. Though not as powerful or accurate from a great distance, being semi-auto I can unload 3 rounds in someone before they have time to react. With the US rifle I get tons of kill assist, that's what I go for though. I sit back and weaken the enemies while the rest of the team finish them off. I have learned alot of stuff about sniper tactics that have yet to be posted in any guide. Once I unlock the new Rifle I will post a guide.

If you love sniping than the M95 is one rifle you can't go without. Most people can come up with **** on how M24 is better but I when it comes to battlefield I radther have a M95 then a M24.

Its nearly impossible to hit a chopper piltot if he isnt hovering very still. I just like camping at their main base and killing them just after they get in the chopper. Pissing ppl off is fun.

Actually the worst the pilot the easier it is to kill him most good Blackhawk pilots keep moving when hovering over a flag but many noob pilots just hover and barely move giving you the best chance to take him out.

Yeah, my next unlock is DEFINITELY the Barrat. I picked up one from a sniper I knifed and then took out a gunner in an AH-1Z Cobra as he sat and strafed a flag. It's sniper rifle plus, how can that be a bad thing?
