BF2 is not a mmorpg and I should not have to wait for "downtime" with a damn FPS.


If it wasnt for the fact I like BF2 Id have a new coaster. Of course everyday I tend to like the game even less when we get buggy patches, downtime and "soon" answers.

YEah no ****. You should still be able to f@@king play the game even if the stats servers are down. I just want to connect to my favorite server and play some. If stats are down, fine, don't record 'em tonight, but the fact I can't connect at ALL is goddamn annoying.

Its nothing to do with the stats server. the AUTH server is down and out, check the player number on http://archive.gamespy.com/stats/ and no-one is playing hardly, the few that are havent logged of yet. when they do finally log-off they wont be able to rejoin.

I expect its another DDOS by the script kiddies, but could just be a random screw-up in routing/hardware.

There should be a default account on there that you can use for single player....at least there is on mine. (I haven't tried to play on it though)

oh wait, i got the tick on not to show full servers and now it is kicking people and it shows the servers that were hidden, so it is still kicking.
