We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
If that's the message, then you were caught violating PB's EULA in BF2 or another game -- that's why they handout global hardware bans. Using some cheat that attempts to bypass or modify Punkbuster is against their EULA so they ban you from every game they have their hands on. I suppose it could be some sort of weird error, but good luck on getting PB to unban you.
Thats what I was going to suggest.PB doesnt just handout Global Hardware Bans for Wall Hacks, thats the "Big Boy" of bans and applies to ANY PB enabled game so if you were screwin around with AA for example and got banned you've toasted any other PB game on that machine
Hmm.. I guess the only thing you really can do is just keep contacting EA/Dice and EvenBalance. Worst case scenario, you might have to reformat (in case you have spyware that PB doesn't like for some reason) or you might have to contact EA to get a new BF2 disc or even worse, you might have to buy a new one.
A reload won't make and differnece if its a hardware ban because it will go on his CPU's serial number.
Do you have any cheats for another game? Just a thought, as PB is scanning your WHOLE computer, maybe it found a cheat for say GHOST RECON, and BAM, Busted?
If you're playing BF2, it has it's own files and everything. It shouldn't kick him out for doing that on anither game. But as he said"I don't cheat and I never will cheat".

If he has a hardware ban then his system has been caught cheating in a game that has pb enabled. A hardware ban is only issued for hax that try to hack the PB software itself and is pretty serious. hes banned by guid and by some hardware serial number. could be vid card, cpu, hdd, nic, etc... He's also pb banned now on any game with PB present and future. If he thinks this is a mistake he needs to open a trouble ticket with evenbalance. https://ssl.evenbalance.com/troubleticket

oh yeah, sorry hardware ban, I was talking about something else. Misunderstood. :)
You only get a hardware ban for hacking PB and as someone has said its a ban from all PB games.
It could also be something else have you got yourself any 2nd hand hardware from ebay? I know cheats will try to sell bits of hardware which have got Hardware bans on them to try to get of the ban list but it does not work, most of the cheat have to get a new PC
ok, here is my answer to all of the hardware/computer/whatever problems....this is how i fixed everything, and now i am one with my machine...go to the local sporting goods store and find the cheapest wooden slugger you can get... and then take it home, and sit down in your favorite chair and have a polite little chat with your computer...telling it "if this s*** happens one more time, i will have to break this bat over your freaking face (case)....then try running the program/game/whatever one or maybe even two more times if you are the nice type....and if problem still persists, commence the whacking....im telling you, it will learn, plus you will feel much better about the situation...and you may just upgrade a little better like my current system seen here --->
well, anyway good luck finding a comp as badace as mine!!! woooooot smooooooth as buttah!
