I was wondering if anyone else who uses voip alot has noticed this, or if there is something I am doing wrong. I have a small group of friends I play with and when we make a squad the majority of the time the VoIP does not work at all. If I press B to talk the green microphone icon comes up under the radar, but it doesnt register with anyone else in the squad that I am talking to. Its not that they can't hear me, but the little mic. icon that shows on the middle-left of the screen that shows when someone is talking never lights up for any of us. We all try talking and get the same results, it doesnt register for anyone whenever someone tries to talk. We often keep changing servers until we find one that works, and we eventually find one and it does work sucessfully there, but it takes a few tries and wastes alot of time looking and loading over and over. Also all of the servers that we join have the little headphones icon, which I am assuming means voip support.
I can't believe that most servers would turn off VoIP(I dont even know if this is possible), cause that seems like it is marketed as a big aspect of the game and I can't see that it would hurt anything to leave it on. My only other concern is that mabye we are somehow doing something wrong in creating the squad, do i have to make a special "voip enabled" squad or something?
I suppose that if we really cant use voip we could switch over to a third party voice server, but then any strangers who join the squad wouldnt be able to hear the communication.
Basically I was wondering if anyone else knows anything about this situation or has experienced it.
