Behind enemy lines idea...

I think I've figured out a pretty cool way of capping some flags way behind enemy lines. It basically involves a squad of:

1 Blackhawk & pilot
3 Special forces

Everyone piles into the Blackhawk and waits for the pilot to gain some serious altitude before heading off to the far enemy base. Once the pilot reaches the flag point, the 3 Special Forces perform a HALO jump - directly over the flag. Seconds before impact, the SF units open their chutes and capture the flag, as well as placing tons of C4 by the flag and on vehicles (if available).

The Special Forces units could then request a pickup at their choosing while staying hidden from the enemy forces.

When the enemy realizes their base is taken, they will instinctively try to recapture it. Wait for the neutralize message to appear and detonate the C4. You should be safe in the chopper by now waiting for your next drop.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

sounds a good idea but its quicker if everyone stays in the chopper the flag is then capped quicker then the spec ops drop c4 then they fly off into the sunset. However in the new patch your idea would be better because choppers will not be able to cap a flag

Nice idea, lots of stealth needed though. Especially if there's enemy units spawning there.

You may need a support gunner aswell. That way if your cover is blown, the support gunner can lay his fire down. Nice tactic though.

the only problem is...when you are laying some c4 near the flag and the enemy is standing right beside the flag they should be able to see the c4...but it will work if you are hidding and can see the spot..then just wait for a tank or car and blow the ****

Tried it last night...It worked pretty damn well. We all had voice IP enabled, so it was really easy to communicate. The pilot would give us the order and 4 of us would bail at about 300 feet, opening our chutes at about 20 feet.

I'm going to record it next time.

Please do that. We see tons of videos of people showing "I can fly, I can fly!" Some are pretty good, but I would love to see some video of teams actually working togther. That would be cool.

Another bonus of having the support guy there is to be able to resupply the spec ops folks. When they run out of C4 from destroying enemy assets the support guy can resup them :)

Of course all this nifty strategizing sounds great, too bad NOBODY works together in this game.....

All Americans do is whore for the Cobra, I've seen upwards of 6-8 peeps milling about waiting for a chance to grab the Cobra on rew-spawn, all the while MEC CHinese are capping flags all over the place...
